Intern | Fall 2024
Emma is an undergraduate senior studying Political Science and Women’s Studies at the University of Florida. She believes in the value of an intersectional approach to social issues and the importance of grassroots organizing. Emma also thinks that music is an excellent tool for finding common ground with others and is a way to talk about politics without polarization.
Emma has experience volunteering and advocating for Planned Parenthood Generation Action at her University and has held internship positions with nonprofits like HeadCount and Mary’s Center. In 2023, she volunteered with Reverb at a Young the Giant concert. Through these experiences, she has learned the value of communication work and how to receive and translate information so the public can be better informed about a topic.
As a Miami native, she has experienced the harsh realities of climate change firsthand. This personal connection has fueled her advocacy for better climate policy and sustainability. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, walking her dog Maggie, and exploring new cafes and concerts.
