A Partnership Forged in Fighting Waste
REVERB & Nalgene have partnered together since 2013 to fight single-use plastic waste at concerts and festivals.
- 14 Million Fans reached at over 1,000 concerts across North America
- 4+ Million Single-Use Bottles Eliminated from use
- $5 million raised for Nonprofits
- Artist partners include Dave Matthews Band, Maroon 5, P!nk, Fleetwood Mac and many more
What began as a simple idea has grown into the leading plastic waste reduction effort in live music today!
Single-use plastics, particularly water bottles, are one of the leading sources of waste at live music events. But providing water is also an essential aspect of fan comfort and safety.
With this in mind, REVERB and Nalgene created a unique partnership that offered fans (and live music events) a new drinking water option that eliminates the need for single-use water bottles and raises funds and awareness for important social and environmental causes.
Known as #RockNRefill, the program is brought to life on tour, at festivals, and through special venue partnerships by the REVERB team. We create custom-designed reusable Nalgene bottles and make them available for fans at the show in exchange for a donation to support the efforts of nonprofit organizations. REVERB also offers free filtered water refill stations at the concert so fans can eliminate the need for single-use alternatives and the waste they create.
POSITIVE IMPACT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT & COMMUNITIES
The #RockNRefill partnership has eliminated the use of over 4 MILLION single-use plastic water bottles at concerts since it began. Plus, with 100% of fan donations going to support nonprofit organizations across the country, the program’s impact goes far beyond waste reduction at the show. As of 2024, #RockNRefill has raised over $5 million for more than 100 environmental and social non-profit organizations around the globe.
Nalgene has become an integral part of many of REVERB’s tours and a much-loved aspect of the fan experience at shows. Along with REVERB’s water refill stations, the custom-designed Nalgene bottles are a fan favorite.
The bottles have also been distributed to artists and crews on REVERB tours as part of our effort to reduce, and in some cases eliminate, single-use plastic bottles backstage.
The program has been featured on dozens of Tours and Festivals with partner artists including Dave Matthews Band, Maroon 5, P!nk, Fleetwood Mac, and many more. Hundreds of thousands of fans have participated in the program!
As the partnership continues to grow, so does demand for the custom bottles and the impact for people and the planet. Look for Nalgene’s custom reusable water bottles in REVERB’s Action Villages on tours and at select festivals each season!
