Since 2021, REVERB has executed Lollapalooza’s Front of House Sustainability Programming, and this year, we took over Guest Services volunteer coordination too!

REVERB ran 7 volunteer programs and coordinated over 1,200 volunteers focused on sustainability and guest services including:

        • Rock & Recycle
        • Divert It!
        • Water Refill Stations
        • Bike Valet
        • Media Assistants
        • Greeters
        • Kidzapalooza

This year, Lollapalooza also teamed up with REVERB’s Music Decarbonization Project and Green Nation to power the main T-Mobile stage with intelligent battery systems to reduce diesel fuel usage and greenhouse gas pollution at the 4-day festival.

I loved volunteering with REVERB! The staff is incredible and the mission is awesome. It was so cool to see the pile of cans that we saved from going to waste and into recycling instead at the end of the night and to see a bunch of festival goers care about the cause. Thank you REVERB for making a mission statement and for giving volunteers such an incredible opportunity.” — Rachel S.

“I was able to meet so many great new people with similar interests as me, not only within my volunteering shift but also random new people attending the festival. I had an amazing time motivating people to recycle and teaching them  about what reverb does.” — Deandra M.

Volunteer Programs

BIKE VALET

327 Bikes Valeted ~approximately 1.1 metric tons of CO₂e avoided.

  • Equivalent to avoiding emissions from driving 2,600 miles in an average passenger car.

“Had the best time volunteering with my REVERB crew at the Bike Valet station at Lollapalooza in Chicago! From the first pedal to the last song, we were all fueled by a shared love for music and a commitment to sustainability.” — Arielle M.

“The most meaningful part of volunteering with REVERB was getting to meet a community and inspire them to make changes that are better for our world. We were directly involved in being a part of a cause. I could see the difference we were all making as a team and how much we were helping our community.” — Bianca V.
