Glasgow, Scottland November 6th, 2021
Scottish singer-songwriter, KT Tunstall represented REVERB and our Music Climate Revolution campaign at COP26 in Glasgow urging world leaders, to protect indigenous protectors and their way of life in a special message and song performance.
“Forest communities are the absolute best defenders of one of our greatest assets for the health of our planet, which is natural forests.” -KT Tunstall addressing world leaders at COP26
KT visited indigenous leaders and community members in the Peruvian Amazon as part of a musician’s trip with REVERB and Environmental Investigation Agency to learn about the threats indigenous communities face as they defend their home—the forest. See a documentary of her trip with members of Maroon 5, Dave Matthews Band and Guster.
Tunstall’s Nov 6th video address to world leaders was shown as an official part of the UK Government hosted event “Forest Community Land Rights for Nature, Climate and People.”
Special thanks to the Climate and Land Use Alliance for making this possible.
