Tortuga Music Festival 2026
Tortuga Music Festival Powers 3 Stages with Hybrid Batteries
Most festival stages across the country still rely on diesel generators — but Tortuga has consistently pushed for better solutions. This year marks a major milestone: As part of Tortuga’s sustainability program, all three stages at the 2026 festival will be powered by Sunbelt with hybrid battery systems instead of traditional diesel generators.
This project was part of REVERB’s Music Decarbonization Project, which works with artists, festivals, and industry partners to accelerate the transition to cleaner energy in live music.
Why Battery Systems?
Battery systems when thoughtfully deployed provide a cleaner, reliable way to power large-scale stages, while improving the experience for fans and crew alike.
Why this matters:
- Eliminates onsite emissions from stage power
- Reduces air pollution and noise
- Cuts diesel use and associated fuel costs
- Delivers higher-quality, more stable power for audio and A/V systems
- Creates a healthier environment for artists, crews, and fans
Sunbelt Rentals has partnered with Tortuga Music Festival to help power the event, supporting its long-term commitment to more responsible operations. Over the past three years, that partnership has steadily advanced cleaner solutions. This year marks a meaningful step forward.
Music Decarbonization Project
The Music Decarbonization Project is REVERB’s program to fast-track innovative climate solutions to directly eliminate carbon pollution from the music industry.
We measure emissions across touring, festivals, and fan travel, and then scaling real-world pilots in clean mobile power, low-impact fan travel, and responsible merchandise.
