LAKE STREET DIVE ACTION VILLAGE

Each night on the 2024 Good Together Tour fans took meaningful action for people and the planet with REVERB in the Lake Street Dive Action Village. In all, fans took 13,235 ACTIONS including:

  • 8,882 Single-use plastic bottles avoided at shows
  • 2,314 Music Climate Revolution Food Quiz Participants
  • 1,104 Donations for a custom Lake Street Dive resuable RockNRefill Nalgene bottle

Lake Street Dive and REVERB hosted local, regional, and national nonprofit organizations in the Action Village throughout the Good Together Tour

  • 22 Nonprofit Organizations hosted at shows
  • 716 Total Nonprofit Fan Actions

SINGLE-USE PLASTIC REDUCTION

ROCKNREFILL PROGRAM

The RockNRefill Program, a partnership between REVERB and Nalgene, helped avoid the use of more than 11,962 single-use water bottles on this tour with participation from the band, crew, and fans!

  • Water Refill Stations set up for artists and crew backstage, in catering and on buses, and in main concourses for fans
  • Reusable Water Bottles and Insulated Mugs provided for artists and crew
  • Custom #RockNRefill Reusable Nalgene Bottles available to fans for donation
    100% of donations supported nonprofits and climate projects

FOOD WASTE REDUCTION

MUSICALLY FED

Musically Fed is a non-profit organization that works to mobilize the music industry in the fight against hunger.

At select cities on the Lake Street Dive Tour, Musically Fed facilitated excess catering food donations to local nonprofits or shelters.

The tour repurposed 1,278 meals for nonprofits local to the performance venue.

VENUES

REVERB connected with venues prior to the tour to support existing on-site sustainability efforts, discuss enhancements and optimize plans to achieve best possible results

  • Water Refill Stations backstage and for fans
  • Sustainable Food: 71% of venues offered plant-based entrees in concessions
  • Plastic Reductions: 81% of venues committed to reducing single-use plastic including:
    eliminating unnecessary plastic cups  • no plastic bags • straws only available upon request • carrying non-plastic water containers in concessions
  • Recycling: 79% of venues offered recycling backstage and for fans. REVERB ensured recycling was available backstage at every stop!

GREENHOUSE GAS MEASUREMENT

After all the above efforts were made to reduce the environmental footprint of the tour, remaining carbon emissions from major sources were calculated including:

  • Band + Crew Travel
  • Equipment Transport and Shipping
  • Venue Energy Use
  • Hotel Stays

In acknowledgement of the climate impact of touring, Lake Street Dive has dedicated a portion of ticket sales to support REVERB’s Climate Project Portfolio. This tour’s portfolio is designed to support measurable greenhouse gas reductions, address climate justice, advance decarbonization efforts in music, and create lasting positive impacts with the goal of addressing the complex challenges of the climate crisis.
