OVERVIEW
Since starting in 2017, Guster’s On the Ocean festival has become a family reunion like weekend of service, music, and sustainability. This year, fans volunteered at three service projects including food prep with Preble Street, beach clean up with Surfrider, and trail maintenance with Portland Trails.
Fans donated for RockNRefill Nalgenes to cut down on single use plastic water bottles and connected with The Family Restored and Oxfam to learn how to make a difference in their community. Fan impact continued at home with Go-Go Refill and DIP showing us how to continue to eliminate plastics at home in our kitchens and bathrooms.

NON-PROFIT PARTNERS
GoGo Refill: Encouraged fans to visit their store and learn how to reduce single use plastic use at home. Guster also launched a partnership with Dip, a personal care company which creates high-performance, plastic-free shampoo and conditioner bars.
Sebago Clean Waters: Engaged fans to raise awareness for the need to increase the pace of forest conservation in the Sebago Lake watershed.
Oxfam: Gathered signatures for their protect USAID petition, calling for congress to protect and invest in the US’s foreign humanitarian assistance programs, including lifesaving healthcare, food, education, economic development, disaster relief programs, and more.
The Family Restored: Educated fans on their mission to strengthen and support families affected by addiction through family support groups, 12-step workshops and scholarships to help pay for treatment and recovery housing.
