PARTICIPATION ROW

60 years so far! In celebration of 60 years of the Grateful Dead’s music and 10 years of Dead & Company, fans gathered in Golden Gate Park for one of the biggest celebrations of the year! REVERB and HeadCount set up Participation Row and invited 8 other groups to celebrate 10 years of action. Once again, fans did their part reducing single-use plastic along with registering to vote and learning how they can connect with their community.

REVERB

REVERB volunteers connected with fans throughout the weekend, offering opportunities to learn about climate action and donate for a custom Dead & Company RockNRefill Nalgene bottle.

  • 466 fans played REVERB’s Climate Trivia, learning about key issues like food, home energy, and fast fashion
  • 3,735 fans donated for a Dead & Company RockNRefill Nalgene, with 100% of proceeds supporting environmental and social nonprofits
  • 102 volunteers contributed 714 hours of their time

HEADCOUNT

More than 1,100 fans took voter actions over 3 days. HeadCount continued their nonpartisan work of helping fans check their voter registration status, registering to vote if needed, and helping them sign up for local election alerts.

DEAD FAMILY ORGANIZATIONS

Eight other groups were onsite to fill out the rest of Participation Row. Backline, Jerry Garcia Foundation, Owsley Stanley Foundation, Rainforest Action Network, Rex Foundation, Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, Sweetwater Music Hall and WhyHunger were all featured. They connected directly with fans to inspire learning, action, and community impact.

CLIMATE ACTION

Acknowledging the climate impact of live music, Dead & Company dedicated $1 per ticket to support REVERB’s Climate Project Portfolio – a program funding measurable greenhouse gas reductions, advancing decarbonization in music, and driving climate justice initiatives that create lasting positive change.
