In April of 2013 REVERB teamed up with rising country music star Brantley Gilbert for the Spring installment of the Campus Consciousness Tour. CCT brought the unique sounds of Brantley Gilbert to sold out crowds and a message of sustainable agriculture and feeding the hungry to local communities.
REVERB, Brantley Gilbert and the Central PA Food Bank teamed up for a very special day of service. REVERB enlisted the help of Walnut Run Farms in Central Pennsylvania to raise much-needed funds and donate a Season-Long CSA share to the Central PA Food Bank. The REVERB team, Brantley’s crew and some very lucky Loch Haven University students spent the day packing fresh produce and other items for local seniors in need and preparing backpacks full of healthy foods and snack alternatives for a local youth in need program.
This important day of service was part of REVERB’s Farm To Family program. Farm to Family and Farm to Stage are programs created by REVERB to advocate and support local-scale agriculture and family farms. Local agriculture reduces the negative environmental impacts associated with transporting products across the country (or the world) and increases the social and economic benefits of purchasing goods from local producers.
